PHILIPS LIGHTING INTRODUCES INNOVATIVE NEW ENERGY SAVER 3-WAY TWISTER CFL

SOMERSET, NJ - Philips Lighting Company, a division of Philips Electronics North America Corporation, an affiliate of Royal Philips Electronics (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHI), proudly announces the introduction of its new Energy Saver 3-way Twister Compact Fluorescent Lamp (CFL), an ideal and energy-efficient replacement for a 50-100-150 Watt incandescent 3-way bulb in table and floor lamp applications.

Incorporating a unique double helix technology which utilizes two separate burners, Philips' new Energy Saver 3-way Twister CFL replaces a 50-100-150 Watt incandescent 3-way bulb using only 11 Watts, 23 Watts, and 34 Watts, for a total savings of 39 Watts, 77 Watts, and 116 Watts (or an over 75% reduction in energy consumption). The lamp features instant-on technology and optimized color quality and has an average rated life of 10,000 hours based on a restart time of once every three hours.
