Mini MasterColor^® - Testimonial

Providing outstanding eyecare together with a wide range of high quality spectacles and lenses is a major priority for customer satisfaction.The interior design of the store is essential in reflecting professionalism and personal care. The design concept was to achieve good ambient light levels, quality accent lighting and a touch of dramatic contrast within the store. While the overhead ceiling lighting provided adequate illumination levels there was a need to inject more modeling and drama on to the optical displays. Mobile gondolas were ideal in providing fexibility within the store layout, however, this meant that display lighting could not depend on fixed positioning within the ceiling. Using this criteria Compact Lighting created a unique linear housing known as the Stream, which attached to each of the moveable gondolas. Due to the limited space available within the Stream lighting system, the choice of lamp was crucial. This was particularly important in order to avoid overheating both the merchandise and the extrusion into which the lamps had to be fitted. Miniaturization and high performance were major prerequisites. Therefore, the Mini MasterColor® System was the ideal partner for the ambient lighting provided by Philips T5 fluorescents. The overall visual effect was one of both drama and consistency. The minimal space required by the Mini MasterColor System gave Compact Lighting the design freedom to turn the Stream concept into reality. Small in size this lamp is big on impact. Using only 20 watts of power, the lamp offers sparkling accent lighting at a fraction of the wattage of alternative lamp sources such as halogen.
