Philips TuffGuard™ High Intensity Discharge Coated lamps provide coated lighting for manufacturing and warehouse applications. They are also available in "O" rated lamps, for operation in open fixtures. Their protective quartz shroud provides an extra level of security. However, these lamps may not contain glass in the event of an arc-tube rupture.
